Cook!

If the proliferation of cook books is anything to go by,
Chefs are the new Rock Stars (was that before or after comedians were/are the new Rock Stars?) . Think Jamie, Maggie, Nigella, Stephanie, Bender and Curtis, Yan, ... etc the list goes on.

As all things must pass, it's nice to know that when these guys have had their run, there's the tried and true, triple-tested 'how to cook absolutely everything' recipes of the Women's Weekly "Cook" to fall back on.

Cook : How To Cook Absolutely Everything
$40 on sale at Borders

Thanks to Eky for sharing this good get!

i saw this on display at Big double-u and weighed up on whether to buy it instead of stephanie's tome. thanks for the recommendation (and dare i say it, i reckon the ol' double-u might give borders a run for its money in the price stakes - i'll keep you posted).

Omy gosh omy gosh!
I just got the follow up to that book called "Kitchen"..
I've found it the greatest cook book I've ever owned! (Ok, so I only own 2 ... I'm working on my collection!)

It goes through the "perfect" kitchen and explains the types of utensils you may need .. like the types of saucepans, various finishes and how to clean them!
Each chapter of the book is a collection of recipes (Triple tested, of course!) based upon a particular kitchen implement.. For example- The fry pan, The steamer, The BBQ.

Excellent.
And for $20 at Dymocks it's a steal! =)
